Providing Quality Collision Repairs Since 1969.
We are located at 750 Princes Street and 12 Melbourne Street, Dunedin. The business was established by Steve Bennett back in 1969. South City Panel Beaters is a family affair and owned by members of the Bennett family. Today, Steve's legacy and passion for the panel beating industry and cars is lived on his sons Wayne and Ryan Bennett, who are the owners and operators of both workshops. The business serves customers within Dunedin and from around the country. The establishment of the business has been built on the skills of the Bennett family who have been involved with the industry for over 50 years.
South City Panel Beaters is a growth-orientated, expanding business that has lead them to require two premises. The paint shop on Melbourne Street was established in 1988, and has been modernised with the latest technology, spray booths and painting techniques, with their office recently being renovated. Back in 1996, the team expanded and added in the Princes Street workshop, which was originally known as Little and Brown, before transferring to the name 'South City Panel Beaters'.
In the mid eighties, Wayne headed to Los Angeles for more than 18months to gain insights and experience from the US industry. Having gained a number of i-Car Qualifications while he was away, he was quick to encourage the team to do these qualifications too. Wayne and Ryan were recognised as early adopters of new technology and techniques. With the support of their father Steve, they moved ahead and purchased a lot of new equipment and technology to keep up to pace with the fast moving trends of the industry.
South City Panel Beaters has emerged as a significant entity through its dedication to customers and customer service. The business provides a quality assured service that uses both highly technologically advanced equipment coupled with extensively and well-trained technicians. Being a market leader they have had to focus on delighting and exceeding both the customers' wants and needs. This has resulted in South City Panel Beaters investing in the best technologically advanced equipment.
We welcome all customers with any collision or accident repair work required. Simply phone us up or drop in for a free quote. With our quality panel beating, painting & top service, we have built up a lot of repeat work from many customers throughout Dunedin.
